Pujya Gurudev Shrimad Purnanand Paramhans founded Ajapa Yogashrams in India more than a hundred years ago. A realized saint and scholar full of compassion and love for his fellow beings he worked for their upliftment educating them giving them their identify and self-respect schools. He established schools and orphanages at his ashrams. His aim was to inculcate higher values impart modern education to the children along with teaching them the ancient science of meditation for their overall development. His disciple swami Bhumanand Paramhans a great scholar himself continued in the same vein imparting education and knowledge of Ajapa Yoga children and his disciples. His disciples, Swami Janardan baramhans who participated actively in the freedom struggle, non-violent movement, working ardently for fulfilling the dream of his Guru, to make India an educated and developed nation. He started schools and college in Rishikesh for the poor children. Shri purnanand Public school, Shri purnanand Inter college and Swami purnanand Degree College of Technical Education. His aim was to impart education to all the section of the society, he worked for the masses giving them an opportunity to uplift themselves and become proud citizens of India. Now we are moving towards a golden future, to leave the dreams of our Gurus. Our country is independently standing among the developer nation of the world. We stand on the foundation laid by our great Gurus, for the upliftment of mankind, society and our country. Swami, Guruprasadji has a vision of imparting modern education to all aspiring children along with developing various skills and moral values in them, to teach them meditation for their overall development and make them better human beings. What are the traits of being a true human ? we should be peaceful, patience and should keep away from all vices. Stability is our prime virtue whereas lust, anger, greed, delusion, ego, and jealousy are the reason for out downfall. By good education we will develop stability and patience within us which in turn help us to differentiate between right and wrong. It is necessary to transform our thoughts, as they become obstacles in out life by way of good education to children. The reason behind our thoughts are, the values, which we are brought up, in external influences, the company we keep, and influence of environment we live in, which affects us constantly. Our biggest mistake is to think that we are perfect. So we should find faults in ourselves and improve. Today my happiness cannot be curtailed to see the dream of our reverend Pujya Gurudev Shrimad Purnanand Paramhans Ji being turned into a reality.
Our Guruji establish this school as we believe that best services to the humanity was to provide them with education.
He believed that it is not an academic education which is important, rather in addition to reading, writing -a value based education -which is education of 'Ethics' and 'Sanskar' is essential for an overall development of an individual .It feels me with great pride to announce that with the grace of Almighty and blessings of our Guruji we have succeeded to quite an extent in our endeavour to provide such an education in our school.
